Why I Love Instagramable Cafe’s and Restaurants

May 4, 2018

It’s absolutely no secret I love to hunt down the most Instagramable places to eat, especially while I’m travelling.

There’s something about sitting in a beautifully decorated cafe eating delicious food that just makes me so so so happy, like I am sure it does most people. *she hopes*

I talked about visiting places based on their instagramability in a recent post, but what is it I actually love about these places?

When it comes to cafe’s there are far too many things to list, so I thought I’d share just a few with you.

The food is always incredible - I’m yet to visit a place people would consider ‘instagramable’ and not like the food, but maybe that’s just me? I love the effort the goes into to presentation and I think it just adds to the overall taste experience, especially when it comes to cakes and cocktails.

The decor is to die for - My favourite thing about an Instagramable cafe is the decor for sure. The amount of work that goes into these places is incredible and it makes we want to redecorate my entire house. I’m thinking a botanical theme with lots of fairy lights everywhere. That would work right?

It encourages me to try something new - Often when I visit cafes and restaurants I will always have the same thing. Visiting somewhere with a particular dish that is considered Instagramable often makes me step out of my comfort zone to try something new, and 99% of the time I love it…

There’s a lesson here I’m sure.

It gives me something pretty to put on my feed - I know life shouldn’t ALWAYS be about what you post on your Instagram, but as a full time blogger and freelancer I often feel like I have to factor it into my day to day life. Going to somewhere that is instagramable obviously helps with this as it gives me lots of pretty pictures for my feed.

I’m a sucker for hype - I don’t know if I should admit this, but I am an absolute sucker when it comes to hype. If something is trending or has become popular on Instagram I immediately want to go, which sucks when I don’t live in a city. On the plus side, it helps me to plan trips and holidays….

Do you love Instagramable cafes? Where should I go next?

You should definitely head to Liverpool and check out The Florist! It’s so beautiful and recently opened!! Such a hype on social media over it and it sounds right up your street!

I’m definitely guilty of going places because of the hype around them on social! And I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Like I’d love to go to that Elan Cafe and Peggy place just to see what it’s really like - but people seem to have turned against it now!! I’m definitely a sucker for the decor of places though determining whether I go or not! xx

My mission is simple. I want to help change the way travel looks, showing both brands and society that plus size people really do travel too. In a community where plus size travellers are made to feel unwelcome, I want to inspire and advise people like me on how they can make the most out of their own incredible travel experiences.Join me as I share my own personal experiences, my best tips and tricks and all of the challenges I face along the way. It won’t always be an easy ride, but it sure as hell will be a fun one.

Together, we can change the way that travel looks today
