Lately, all I seem to be doing is looking at potential holidays and city breaks. Every single day I think of a new place I want to visit, which then leads to hours and hours of searching for the best and cheapest way to do it.
One place that has been at the top of my list (since I turned 21 of course) is Las Vegas. ??
I almost went for Labor Day Weekend back when I was living in California for University, but I was only 19 and my friends said that it wouldn’t be anywhere near as fun as it could be if I couldn’t drink or gamble.
Next year I am finally heading back to California to visit my friends as it will have been SIX YEARS since I last saw them. I think that while I’m over there a potential road trip to Vegas will be on the cards now that I am finally old enough to drink (and rent a car) in America.
There’s so much I want to do there I thought I’d put together a little Vegas ‘bucket list’ - even though I know I will have nowhere near enough time to do them all…
⛲ See the dancing fountains at the Bellagio
Would a trip to Vegas even be a trip to Vegas without a photo of the dancing fountains at the Bellagio?
? Stay at the Cosmopolitan Hotel
Even though I would be pretty strapped for time I’d love to stay at least one night and as I have heard so many good recommendations I have had my heart set on the Cosmopolitan for quite some time.
? Visit all of the city themed hotels
I love the concept of having different ‘city themed’ hotels and districts and have been to a similar kind of thing in San Diego. I’ve heard that the representation in Las Vegas is amazing and I could literally go from feeling like I’m on Rialto Bridge in Venice one second, to the Spanish steps the next. Much faster (and cheaper) than Interrailing 😉
?️ Go shopping in the Grand Canal Shoppes
If I’m going to America then I am not going to pass up on the opportunity to shop, especially in Vegas. I think Sephora would be the PERFECT place to spend all my winnings, don’t you?
? See a show
I feel like a trip to Vegas without seeing one of their famous shows would be a bit of a waste, but who or what would I see? I think Britney Spears and Cirque du Soleil are definitely top of my list.
?? Visit Fremont street
Apparently, Downtown Vegas is the new Strip, and Fremont Street is a must visit. I always like the ‘underdog’ places when I travel, so I have a feeling Downtown Las Vegas would be no different.
What would you do if you had a few days to spend in Vegas?
