I’ve written lots of different bucket lists on my blog before (including my before 50 bucket list and where I’d love to go on a road trip), but I have never before covered the unusual things I’d love to do!
Although I love talking about bucket list trips to New York or Bali, I’m excited to share the more obscure things on my bucket list in Partnership with Destination 2.
So, what’s on my list?
Seeing every species of penguin in the world – I *think* I may have mentioned this one before but as penguins are my favourite animal, I really want to see every species of penguin in the world! Although I can see a few of these in Zoo’s across the world, I think it’s going to mean going and seeing some penguins in the wild too – the ultimate dream!
Go backpacking in Thailand – Although I’d love a relaxing holiday on the beaches of Thailand, I really want to pack a backpack and visit as much of the island as I possibly can! I actually looked at a lot of Thailand holidays for 2018, but in the end Bali took main priority! Hopefully I’ll get to go VERY soon and cross this one off my bucket list.
Trek Machu Picchu – This really isn’t for the faint hearted and I’m definitely going to have to up my fitness levels before I even attempt this, but I really really really want to trek Machu Picchu in Peru. It’s something me and my boyfriend often talk about, so hopefully one day we’ll be able to make it a reality.
Try a beer where ever I go – I don’t know if it’s just me, but I always judge how expensive a place is by by how expensive their beer is? This means, everywhere I have visited so far I have tried a local beer. I decided last year I wanted to continue this and try a craft beer/local beer from every country I visit – meaning I have now drank A LOT of beer. Maybe I should buy some brewery equipment and start making my own?
Rent a Winnebago and travel across America – Okay, so I may need my license before I do this, but I’d absolutely love to rent a Winnebago and travel across as many states as I can. I love that it can be at your own pace, and you can stop in places you see that take your fancy along the way. Obviously I’ll need a lot of time and money for this so I don’t think it will EVER happen, but a girl can dream right?
Go on a helicopter ride – This is a massive fear for me, but it’s still something I want to experience. Some of the best things I’ve crossed off my bucket list are things that have scared me, so I know this is going to be just as incredible when I eventually pluck up the courage to do it. Maybe over the Grand Canyon, or New York City at night!
