When it comes to gift buying I always find that I have absolutely no idea what to buy AT ALL. I always think I’d know what they’d like but then the worry of whether or not I’ve got it completely wrong sets in.
That’s why, I secretly love when people post gift guides, especially when they’re not posted during the holiday season as I Christmas gift sets are not available all year round and ya know, birthdays.
Anywaaaaay, as I’m a travel blogger I thought I would help my fellow travel lovers by putting together a little list of gifts I’d like, in hopes they’d like it too. If not I have got this VERY wrong…
Gifts to Buy the Travel Lovers in your Life
? Scratch Maps – As someone who counts the number of countries they have visited I absolutely LOVE scratch maps. The idea is that you scratch off a country when you’ve visited it, meaning it’s absolutely perfect for people who travel regularly.
? Cork Globe – Again, this is similar to the scratch map. You can put pins in the places you’ve been and the places you want to go. I’d love one of these to go in my office so I can plan my future trips while I am *supposed* to be working.
? Jewelry – There are so many different types of jewelry out there for travel lovers including bracelets that represent particular locations, necklaces with globes or planes on them and much much more. Tip: My go to place for jewelry for gifts is FHINDS as they always have such gorgeous pieces.
? Travel Journal – I love documenting everything I do while travelling, not only because it helps with blogging later, but also because it’s something to look back on. One day I WILL start a scrap book, but for now a travel journal would be perfect as it has lots of different prompts.
? Mini Toiletry Sets – I ALWAYS forget to get mini toiletries before I travel and end up having to spend much more than needed by buying them at the airport. Giving the cute little packaged sets you can get is a great gift for travel lovers as it means they can always be stocked up for their short haul city breaks.
? Portable Phone Charger – Even though I have a million f these, I’m always losing them and could do with more. There are some that are a little more pricier but last a lot longer, these are the ones that are GREAT for gifts.
? Travel Pillow – It’s super practical, but such a thoughtful gift idea – especially if they;re going on a long haul trip.
? Polaroid Phone Printer – This is a little more on the expensive side but there are lots of different Polaroid printers that you can connect to your phone, meaning you can print your holiday snaps instantly. Great for journals and scrapbooks, or even your bedroom wall!
? Travel Bag or Backpack – Again this is a practical gift but definitely something a travel lover would appreciate. With Fiji Raven Kanken, Vans and Cabin Zero out there you can really get some stylish, good quality travel bags.
? Pool Floats – Okay, a slightly more ridiculous choice but a MUST for Instagram.
? Travel Prints – There are lots of different sites that you can get some gorgeous travel prints from. Whether it’s a map, a photograph of a busy city or a quirky drawing of somewhere they love, travel prints are such a thoughtful gift.
? Passport Cover and Luggage Tags – I was actually gifted some new luggage tags and a passport cover for Christmas and even though it was a small gift it showed that a lot of thought into what I wanted had been put it.
This blog post has ended up turning into a list of things I now want to buy myself. Also, I may or may not have just ordered myself a donut pool float – adulting at it’s best.
