10 Reasons I Miss Living in London

April 6, 2016
Me and my sister at the start of my second year at Uni
It’s now been almost 18 months since I left London after graduating from University, and recently recently I have started thinking more and more about all the things I miss about living in the capital.
1. There is always something open.
Nothing is ever open where I live after like, 10pm? There goes late nights with friends where you get home at stupid o’clock…
2. Always being a short distance from Covent Garden – one of my favourite places in London.
3. There is always something new to see.
I don’t think I’ve seen even half of London after nearly four years there.
4. It’s so easy to just go to theatre. In fact, I didn’t plan any of my theatre trips, always ended up there spontaneously.
The best? Either Phantom of the Opera or Fatal Attraction.
5. The amount of good food you can get, and by that I don’t mean healthy food…
6. Winter Wonderland.
This is by far one of my favourite things about Christmas in London, and I was so sad when I didn’t get to go last year for the first time in FOUR YEARS.
7. Shopping. As busy as it is, I do miss shopping on Oxford Street.
My University was close by so it was always easy to pop to Oxford St Primark or Paperchase after lectures.
8. The culture and history at every single turn, I feel like I didn’t start feeling this until my last year there so didn’t have nearly enough time exploring.
9. Happy hour in Leicester Square.
5pm is such an early time to get drunk, but it never stopped me.
10. Sitting in the park with a drink when there were the first signs of sun.
11. Heres a bonus one – renting Boris Bikes and cycling around London on every day I had off.

Do you live in London? Have you ever visited? What do you love most?

Lots of love,

I've never had the opportunity to visit London besides one coach trip to see Jersey Boys a few years back. It's my absolute dream to visit Oxford Street and spend an afternoon there shopping! X http://www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk X

I love London so much! I did a study abroad experience in London last year and I agree with all of your reasons and many more!
