This is a paid collaboration with my-picture.co.uk, however, all opinions are my own.
If you have followed me for a while you will know that earlier this year I went on my dream trip to America. Whilst on a Trek America trip I got to visit some absolute bucket list places and whilst I have a tonne of incredible memories, I hadn’t found a way to reflect those in my home.
As most of the walls in my house were already filled with artwork and prints, I knew I couldn’t print off all of my favourite photos as I just wouldn’t have the space to display them. That was until I discovered these awesome MIXPIX Photo Tiles from my-picture.co.uk.
These small tiles are ideal for printing off your favourite memories as they not only take up very little space but they can also be arranged in absolutely any way you like. With easy to apply stickers on the back, you can remove them and reapply in a new design whenever you want. So what memories did I choose?
1) Exploring Central Park in New York on our first day in America ?
This was one of my favourite photos from the whole trip because I still had all of the excitement ahead of. Central Park was absolutely beautiful and it was just the beginning. Every time I look at the photo I can still feel the excitement I felt on that very first day.
2) Hiding in the shade on the beach in Florida, watching the Emerald Coast in the distance ?
Towards the end of the trip, we visited Destin Beach, on the Emerald Coast. It was incredibly warm and as I was worried about sunburn, I decided to hide under the makeshift gazebo. Tied to the end of the gazebo was a huge American Flag blowing in the sea breeze. It was picture perfect.
3) Walking Bourbon Street in New Orleans looking for our next cocktail ?
I LOVED New Orleans and this picture of Bourbon Street sums up why. It was a unique, lively and incredible experience.
4) Exploring the amazing Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg ?
During one of our long drive days, our Trek Leader arranged a quick stop in Lynchburg to see Jack Daniel’s Distillery. It was such a fun experience and one I’d definitely do over and over again. I think the smile on my face says it all, don’t you?
5) The views of Canal St from the open-top bus tour in New Orleans ?
We only had one full day to explore New Orleans so, in an attempt to see everything, we decided to jump on an open-top bus tour. Although we didn’t have the chance to get off at any of the stops, I did manage to capture some incredible pictures. My favourite, of course, was of this tram making its way down Canal Street.
6) The incredible views in Shenandoah National Park ?
I LOVED Shenandoah and as a result, I ended up taking hundreds of beautiful pictures. This one was definitely my favourite so I couldn’t resist having it printed too.
How Was The Ordering Process?
The ordering process was incredibly simple, especially in comparison to other sites I have tried to use.
Once I’d chosen how many MIXPIX I wanted to order, I was able to select images straight from my phone. Because most of my photos were in portrait, it also gave me the opportunity to crop them myself – which was super handy when it came to positioning them correctly.
Once I had cropped all of my images I was given one last opportunity to double-check everything before clicking order and entering my personal details. The whole process was roughly 10-15 minutes.
Are They Good Quality?
I was worried the photos wouldn’t be great quality as a number of them were shot on my phone, however, I am pleasantly surprised at how well they’ve coped when being enlarged.
The MIXPIX Photo Tiles themselves are also great quality, as they’re printed onto small cardboard-like canvases. If you’re looking for something bigger, you could also order a photo canvas.
How Long Did They Take To Arrive?
I think after I had placed my order it took roughly a week for my package to arrive. Although I would have liked them to be a little quicker, I think it is partially my fault for being addicted to Amazon Prime. All good things come to those who wait, right?
Are They Easy To Apply?
Each MIXPIX comes with a small double-sided applicator which when attached to the top of the picture is more than enough to hold them in place.
If you want to rearrange your images or add to them, it’s also incredibly easy to remove them and restick.
Would Your Order Again?
100% yes! I’m already thinking about how I can add to the MIXPIXs that I already own. With plenty of space either side, I can definitely switch things up a little.
What memories would you have printed? I’m hoping to get even more photos printed off to add my Trek America memories to my new office space!
