What I wore in Birmingham | Plus Size Summer Fashion with Pink Clove

Over the past few months I have started to notice that I am feeling more and more comfortable with wearing the clothes I want to wear, rather than what I think I’d be comfortable in.

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll definitely have noticed that my style is definitely changing, but to me it’s literally just becoming what I have always wanted it be.

I *think*, down to my confidence growing a little bit, I’ve started to realise that I can wear what ever the hell I want. And that’s what I now do.

Before, I pretty much lived in long, floral dresses as it’s what I was comfortable wearing, but also because they were one of the only things I could find in plus size ranges. However lately, I’ve been loving the fact that plus size ranges are starting to stock the same things that would a straight size range.

Ultimately, I just want to wear what’s in fashion, not maxi after maxi dress…

One of the plus size brands that stand out to me as stocking a wide range of different styles is Pink Clove, an online store stocking sizes 16 to 32.

They very kindly sent me two gorgeous dresses, both of which I decided to take on my trip to Birmingham for the World Duty Free Event at the start of the month.

The first thing I picked to wear to the event was this stunning Blue Floral Wrap Dress. It allowed me to stick with my love of florals, but with a cute, short cut and tie that pulls it in perfectly at the waist.

I was so so comfortable in this dress the whole night and although it was short, I didn’t find that I was constantly pulling it down at the back. I also got SO MANY compliments both at the event and when I posted my photos to Instagram, making me feel like I’d made the right choice.

The next day I wore my second choice, the very similar Yellow Floral Wrap Dress, which I can no longer find on the website. This dress is almost identical to the blue, however the neckline has a cute little frill to it and it’s a little bit shorter in the cut. Again, I got so so many compliments wearing it and I felt great, especially as it was absolutely boiling walking around Birmingham all day.

Also, how PERFECT is this background? Byron Hamburgers matched the dress perfectly so I couldn’t resist taking a photo.

Overall I am IN LOVE with both of the Pink Clove dresses I chose and I feel like I am going to get so much wear from them, especially as they are going to be ideal to wear with tights and boots in Autumn/Winter.
