Ultimate Easter ‘Chick’ Flick List

March 22, 2016
Today is my last day at work before an amazing ten day break, so in order to prepare myself for the amount of free time I will have over the next few weeks I thought I would put together a list of my favourite chick flicks, all of which I know I’ll be cracking out over the Easter break. Good one, Kirsty…
Over the last few month me and my boyfriend have actually bought two new TV’s, so one has gone in his games room and the bigger one is now downstairs where I can fully enjoy it. All I need now is a nice TV in my bedroom, so I’ve been doing a little bit of window shopping on the Panasonic website.
Mean Girls
This is 100% my go to movie when it comes to chick flicks and I think I’ve watched it so many times, that I now know every word and quote it at least once a day. In my opinion it’s a classic chick flick and one that needs to be brought out at every girly get together!
Parent Trap
This is another one of my favourite films and one I can watch time and time again and never get bored. It’s such a feel good film and I can’t help to tear up every time I watch the ending and Hallie and her Dad have beaten Annie and her Mum back to their house in London… ahhh it’s like the sweetest thing ever!
Cruel Intentions
I haven’t watched this in so long, but it’s definitely another classic and one with an amazing soundtrack too. Both Sarah Michelle Geller and Reese Witherspoon are absolutely perfect in this and I love the sneaky twist at the end.
Pitch Perfect
If you ask anyone that knows you well they will tell you that this is my favourite film EVER, I even listen to the soundtrack at work. There’s just something about it that cheers me up so I know that I will be grabbing a bag of Mini Eggs at least once this break and curling up in bed to watch both Pitch Perfect movies.
Sex and the City
A couple of years ago I decided to venture into Carrie Bradshaw’s world and watched the entirety of Sex and the City in one go. I fell in love with the show and so the movies are a great way to get a quick fix without luring myself into a move of binge watching… I think I may have to invest in Sex and the City 2 during my time off as I haven’t seen it in a while and I much prefer it to the first!
In Her Shoes
The first time I ever watched this was on the plane on the way to California as in all honesty, I wanted something I could fall asleep watching. The complete opposite happened and I ended up having to stay awake to find out how it ended! This one is definitely a tear jerker, but I can’t wait to cuddle up and watch it again!
The Break-Up
I LOVE Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, so this film is one of my favourites to put on when I’m in need of a laugh (and it’s not acceptable to watch Four Christmases anymore).
Never Been Kissed
This used to be one of my favourite movies to watch when I was in school, purely because I felt very grown up when my parents said I could watch it, even though I never really understood what they were doing to those poor bananas. Having watched this now I’m much older, it’s so much more amazing and David Arquette is a bit of a fittie.
What films will you be watching over the Easter break? I know I’m going to be taking full advantage of Netflix and scoffing as many Easter eggs as I can.

Lots of love,

I love a good chick flick and no matter how many times you watch them, they still make you giggle! Pitch Perfect is my all time favorite along with mean girls!

Oh my god The Parent Trap takes me back! I actually haven't seen Pitch Perfect either and I'm quite ashamed of myself… x
