My Word for 2017

January 2, 2017

Last year I wrote a HUGE post detailing my life, professional and blogging goals and I think I achieved only one of the (20 odd) goals I set. It’s not that I wasn’t motivated to achieve them, it’s just half way through the year I realised my values were much different and I finally strated to piece together what I want my future to look like.

So, with that in mind, I have decided that 2017 isn’t going to involve a long list of goals but instead just one, simple word that emcompasses everything I want to have achieved when the clock strikes 12 on New Years Eve.

That word is GROWTH.

I know it is a very vague word, but when I thought about it, the majority of the goals I was coming up with all meant I would be growing something.

Growth is going to be such a key word for me throughout 2017 – and the rest of my life – as it applies to everything that I do whether that’s my relationships, my career, my blog, my health, my wellbeing or my knowledge.

There are smaller, individual things I will obviously need to do in order to grow, however I am keeping them to myself for the time being. I’m feeling incredibly motivated about the year ahead and I am already part way through a huge life changing decision and we’re only on day two.

Watch this space.

What is your 2017 word?

P.s. I am finding everyone’s 2017 goal posts incredibly inspiring and motivating so please comment below with a link to yours. I can already feel we’re going to boss this year.

I love the idea of picking a word to shape your year, rather than specific goals! Although I have set specific goals this year, I think the word I want to sum up 2017 is ‘Powerful’. When I think about all the different things I want to achieve this year, it all comes down to being powerful, unstoppable, and a force of nature!
