Leesa Mattress Review | Lifestyle

For as long as I can remember I have always bought the cheapest mattress I could find, as well… I thought I had more important things to buy. It turns out finding the right mattress is incredibly important, as I actually think the last one I bought was £80 for a double, and honestly, it’s the worst thing I’ve ever bought. Both me and my boyfriend really struggled to get a decent night’s sleep the entire time we used it, so we desperately needed something new.

Luckily, a couple of months ago I discovered the Leesa Mattress* - a literal dream come true when it comes to bedtime.

What is a Leesa Mattress?

The Leesa Mattress is a premium foam mattress, designed to support your body as you sleep, whilst avoiding the sinking feeling you get with other memory foam mattresses. Both me and my boyfriend are not huge fans memory foam mattresses, so this seemed the perfect way for us to get the benefits, without having to buy a mattress we’d end up hating eventually.

Ordering the Leesa Mattress

Ordering the Leesa mattress was a lot easier than I thought it would be, especially as I had no idea what mattress I needed to order. The website clearly gives you the measurements for each mattress in the drop down menu, so straight away you can pick the one you want. Any site wide discount codes are applied automatically, too!

Shipping was a little longer than I thought it would be at 4-7 days, but this could be because I am spoilt with Amazon Prime next day delivery and forget that not everyone can offer this…

Setting up the Mattress

The amazing thing about the Leesa mattress is, no matter what size it is, it arrives packaged in a small, manageable box. As soon as the mattress arrived I was excited so rushed to set it up. Truth be told, I probably should have waited for my boyfriend to get home to set up the mattress as OH MY GOD it was so heavy and difficult to get up stairs on my own.

Once I had managed to get it up stairs, I began the very simple set up (which you can view on my Instagram here). I was really surprised at how quick and easy it actually was to set up and although I had to wait a couple of hours for it to be properly ‘inflated’, it was definitely worth the wait.

First Month’s Review

Leesa wanted me to test out the mattress for at least a month before writing my review and I can honestly see why! The first few days I ended up having the best few night’s sleep I’d EVER had, so much so I slept through my alarms multiple times. I think it may have been my body telling me to stay in bed as I was so damn comfy.

About a week after sleeping on the Leesa Mattress I was having a lot more trouble sleeping than I normally would. My back was hurting (I normally have problems with my back, so I wasn’t overly concerned) a considerable amount and I just COULDN’T GET COMFY. I’m not sure if it was just my body getting used to the new mattress, or I had slept funny one night - but after a couple of days these feeling went.

After that I have slept SO SO SO WELL. Honestly, the mattress has turned my bed into the comfiest bed ever - rivaling any comfy hotel bed I’ve ever slept in when travelling. You know the kind? The ones that almost convince you to stay in bed all day, rather than go out and explore a new city.

It’s now been a little longer than a month and I can honestly say that the Leesa mattress has been one of the best decisions we’ve made.

The Leesa Mattress Design

I know this may be a bit of an odd one to mention, especially when my mattress is covered by a sheet and bed covers all day, every day, but the I REALLY love the design of the Leesa mattress. It’s a really pale grey which goes well in ANY bedroom, with three white lines that are designed to be the bottom of the mattress. The material is also super soft, not like that horrible material that bobbles on most mattresses. We had absolutely not trouble encorportated the Leesa Mattress into our room, as it’s such a neutral design.

Overall, I so so so impressed with my Leesa Mattress. I haven’t slept this well in YEARS and the pain I normally experience in my back has improved so much after just a month, so I can only imagine what it’s going to do in the longrun.

I also love that Leesa donate one mattress to every single ten that are purchased, meaning homeless shelters across the country are regularly benefiting from Leesa’s ‘one-ten’ policy. It’s great to see a company where giving back is built into the DNA!
