How To Get Comfortable When You Travel

April 4, 2019

Travelling can be super fun and a rewarding part of life. But it’s not always the easiest or most enjoyable thing to do in life. Sure, you may feel as if you cannot wait to explore the locations that you want to head to, but the travel isn’t always the most exciting part. Because when it comes to transport or experiencing new places, it can be hard for you to adjust. And if you’re entirely honest with yourself, you won’t always be the most comfortable. So, here, you may want to think about what you can do to change all that. Because travel and exploring the world CAN be enjoyable, you just have to approach it in the most efficient (and comfortable) way. So let’s take a look.

  1. Plan Well

To start with, if you want to absolutely guarantee that you will be comfortable, the best thing that you can do here is to be sure to plan the entire trip well, from start to finish. Make sure that you aren’t going on a flight that will be too long for you – or at a bad time. Timing can be everything to your comfort. Also, the time of year can matter too, so that you’re comfortable with the weather wherever you’re going.

  1. Dress Well

But then also, you will want to make sure that you’re dressing well. If you think that wearing high heels, jeans, and poorly fitting clothes will make you look great, then understand that you’re sacrificing comfort. Instead, you will want to make sure that you get a travel outfit together. Look for comfortable pants and search for a Crocs sale to get comfortable flying shoes. Also, make sure that you’re warm enough and can nap in your outfit if you need to.

  1. Pack The Essentials

As you’re packing your suitcase, make sure that you have everything you need too. Because you don’t just want to be comfortable on the flight. You will want to make sure that you’re comfortable when you’re away too. Here, you’ll want daytime and evening clothing options that are comfortable. But then also, shoes that are easy to explore in too.

  1. Take Comforts

But then also, you absolutely need to make sure that you have all of your creature comforts with you. And this may mean that you need to have a travel pillow or blanket. Do you even need to pack the latest travel accessories to help you to enjoy the flight? It could even be that you want snacks or books or anything else to help you to switch off, get comfortable, and make it to your destination well-rested.

  1. Book Accordingly

Finally, you may also want to think about what you’re booking here. If you know that you do not travel well, or that you want to have more space, then booking more room on a flight or going first class could be the best option for you. It’s the same with your accommodation. If comfort is important to you, especially if you’re wary of being overseas, then make sure that you’re booking a hotel that provides you with the level of comfort you need.

My mission is simple. I want to help change the way travel looks, showing both brands and society that plus size people really do travel too. In a community where plus size travellers are made to feel unwelcome, I want to inspire and advise people like me on how they can make the most out of their own incredible travel experiences.Join me as I share my own personal experiences, my best tips and tricks and all of the challenges I face along the way. It won’t always be an easy ride, but it sure as hell will be a fun one.
