Where we are now

Goodbye March, Hello April

April 1, 2017

Ashton Jade

I have to admit, March has been pretty damn good.

The month started off on a high as by the 2nd of March I had already confirmed the most sponsored work I have ever done for my blog, making March my biggest earner only two days in. I don’t often talk about how much I make with my blog but this month was phenomenal and I can only hope that it continues. I’m finally starting to feel as though my hard work is paying off.

The 3rd of March was also AMAZING as my and my boyfriend flew to Paris as a belated Christmas gift to each other. We had two full days exploring the city and one day in Disneyland which was so so magical. I loved it so much I have just booked to go back for three nights at Halloween (another reason March has been FABULOUS).

After I got back to reality after our holiday I decided that I wanted to book another adventure, so I jumped in on Ashton, Laura and Tamsin’s trip to Amsterdam at the start of May.

On the 17th March, me, Ashton and Amy all headed to London for the weekend for #BlogConLDN. As I was hosting a workshop at the event we decided to make a weekend of it and stay both the Friday and Saturday. It wasn’t just so we could have a blogger sleepover and go to the Cat Cafe, I promise…

#BlogConLDN was such a good experience and I am so glad I plucked up the courage to run a workshop. After my nerves had gone it was so much fun.

After the event, we went to take some outfit photos and I had the best time – I am hoping this means much more ‘fashion-style‘ posts from me as I take my blog in a little bit of a new direction (you may have noticed the change at in my categories, but prob not).

Towards the end of the month, I was invited to the Burlington in Birmingham to review their afternoon tea and I can honestly say I have never had anywhere pay so much attention. They were so accommodating and me, my mum and sister had a such a lovely afternoon followed by some baby shopping in the Disney Store.

To end such an incredible month I ended up booking ANOTHER holiday with my boyfriend, this time to Spain for 7 days all inclusive at the end of September. I’ll stop booking holidays soon, I think..

I have had three wonderful advertisers this month…

adele smith

Adele Smith is a 23-year-old lifestyle blogger living near the South Coast and working in retail by day. She’s currently studying Business Management and Marketing with Open University as well as blogging and working full-time, hello superwoman! A lover of cooking, New York and stationery, she almost has a notebook collection that could definitely rival my own.

She posts regularly and covers topics such as lifestyle, studying, weight loss, theatre, reviews, events and recipes. Oh, she is also off to Disneyland Paris for her birthday in a tomorrow, so I can’t wait to read all about it and see her stunning pictures on Instagram.

loren alicia

Loren Alicia is a 22-year-old Lifestyle and Beauty blogger from the West Midlands (yay-friends!). A self-confessed makeup obsessive Loren posts regularly about the makeup and beauty bits she’s loving, while working in IT Support by day. Much like me she loves shopping, tv shows, cats and Disney.

I’ve also had the lovely Victoria from Retro Snowflake advertising with me too.

I am SO excited for April as it’s another exciting month for me. I’ll be heading to Wroclaw in Poland at the start of the month, our family get to find out the sex of my sisters baby and I’m off to London at the end of the month to day drink explore with some of my favourite people.

What do you have planned for April?

Wow, so many holidays! Good for you, girl. So glad your hard work here is paying off too. You have an awesome blog, it deserves to be recognised for that. I’d love to go back to DLP soon, I haven’t been since I was a little kid! I’m waiting to take my future children though; I can’t even begin to imagine how magical it will be seeing it through their eyes!

My mission is simple. I want to help change the way travel looks, showing both brands and society that plus size people really do travel too. In a community where plus size travellers are made to feel unwelcome, I want to inspire and advise people like me on how they can make the most out of their own incredible travel experiences.Join me as I share my own personal experiences, my best tips and tricks and all of the challenges I face along the way. It won’t always be an easy ride, but it sure as hell will be a fun one.

Together, we can change the way that travel looks today
