Goodbye February, Hello March

February 28, 2017

goodbye february hello march

February has gone so quick, hasn’t it? I thought it was going to be an incredibly slow month as I have Paris at the beginning of March to look forward to, but oh. my. god. has this month flown by.

It’s definitely been a month of ups and downs. I’ve booked lots of exciting things, made loads of plans for the rest of the year and accepted lots of amazing blog related opportunities – so that’s awesome. I’ve also had to say no to some big opportunities and had plenty of scary meetings at work.

One thing that has been booked that I am super excited about is a trip to Wroclaw in Poland with Ashton (Ashton Jade). We’ve been saying for months that we wanted to book a trip together so it’s nice to finally have something in place.

In terms of what I have done this month that is non-blog-and-work related, I haven’t done a great deal. Both booking Poland and saving for Paris has meant that I have had a bit of a quiet month, I didn’t even mind not do anything for Valentine’s day (although I did pick up quite a nice meal from M&S).

One big thing that has happened this month, though, has definitely got to be that I have started a YouTube channel. I’d be trying for years but fear always got the better of me when it came to publishing, so my videos always ended up being a failed attempt. I finally bit the bullet last week and I am SO GLAD that I did. I feel confident that this is something I can put my heart and soul into and I am excited to see where it may lead me.

I’ve also talked a lot about success and what it means to me. I am forever trying new things (see above) to help me get to where I want to be in life, but I have learnt to appreciate that success doesn’t mean the same to everyone. I asked people on Twitter what success meant to them and some of the responses were amazing.

Finally, I have also started advertising on my blog. As I’ve started off small I thought I’d do a little introductory offer, so if you want to book you can buy two months and get the third free.

Meet my February Advertisers

I have had three wonderful advertisers this month…

adele smith

Adele Smith

Adele Smith is a 23-year-old lifestyle blogger living near the South Coast and working in retail by day. She’s currently studying Business Management and Marketing with Open University as well as blogging and working full-time, hello superwoman! A lover of cooking, New York and stationery, she almost has a notebook collection that could definitely rival my own.

She posts regularly and covers topics such as lifestyle, studying, weight loss, theatre, reviews, events and recipes. Oh, she is also off to Disneyland Paris for her birthday in a few weeks time, so I can’t wait to read all about it and see her stunning pictures on Instagram.

loren alicia

Loren Alicia

Loren Alicia is a 22-year-old Lifestyle and Beauty blogger from the West Midlands (yay-friends!). A self-confessed makeup obsessive Loren posts regularly about the makeup and beauty bits she’s loving, while working in IT Support by day. Much like me she loves shopping, tv shows, cats and Disney.

I’ve also had the lovely Victoria from Retro Snowflake advertising with me too.

I’ll be doing these posts every month to not only introduce you to my advertisers but also to act as a little life update as they’re my favourite kind of posts to write. I think my March is also going to be a very exciting one as I have a trip to Paris *did I mention that already?*, #BlogConLDN and a few other exciting things happening in between.

I can’t wait!

Ooh, I’ll have a look into your advertising packages, as I’m always looking for awesome bloggers to advertise with. Very jealous of your trip to Paris, I’ve always wanted to go! Have fun.

My mission is simple. I want to help change the way travel looks, showing both brands and society that plus size people really do travel too. In a community where plus size travellers are made to feel unwelcome, I want to inspire and advise people like me on how they can make the most out of their own incredible travel experiences.Join me as I share my own personal experiences, my best tips and tricks and all of the challenges I face along the way. It won’t always be an easy ride, but it sure as hell will be a fun one.

Together, we can change the way that travel looks today
