Goodbye April, Hello May

In comparison to March, April actually seems like it was a much quieter month.

I definitely haven’t had many blogging opportunities, which is making me feel as though March was an absolute fluke and maybe I’m not improving after all - but that’s a whole other story that I should probably save for another blog post.

On a happier note, the start of the month was my trip to Wroclaw with Ashton Jade. We spent three nights in the beautiful Polish city and I think I speak for both of us when I say that we fell head over heels in love with the place. So much so, I’ve booked to go back with my boyfriend next month.

While at the Zoo on one of the days my family Facetimed me to reveal the sex of my sister’s baby due in August. It was so cute as they all held a cupcake with blue frosting on so that when I saw the camera I could see that it’s a boy! I’m so excited and already started buying ALL the Disney baby clothes, including the cutest Woody cowboy outfit from ASDA.

After that, I had a quiet few weeks, mainly because I hadn’t been feeling too well.

On the flight back from Poland my ear drum ended up bursting and I was in absolute agony with it. I finally went to see a doctor about it a few days ago and he said that there’s not a lot I can do other than stop taking flights if it continues. For the time being, I am having to force my ears to pop so it’s easier when on a plane, but if that doesn’t work I may actually have to stop flying or I have a chance of losing my hearing. I’m not sure how I can be a travel blogger if I can’t fly anywhere?! 🙁

This is probably going to sound pretty adult of me, but me and my boyfriend also made a start on our garden. The warm weather made us want to sit out in the sun but as the previous tenants in our house neglected the garden it’s now basically a layer of rubbish, a layer of dead grass and then a layer of overgrown grass. Considering we’ve never had a garden before I think we have done a pretty decent job so far, but have decided to leave the rest to the landlord as our tenancy only says to ‘maintain’ the garden, not renovate.

To end the month me and my boyfriend decided to take a day trip to Chester as we’ve never been and it is pretty much on our doorstep. It was so lovely to wander around somewhere new and it’s made me want to see so much more of the UK.

May is looking to be a little busier, with a trip to Amsterdam in a few days and my anniversary at the end of the month. Wonder if I can make it through without booking any more holidays?

What do you have planned for May?

I hope you don’t make it through without booking another holiday haha, I like living vicariously through your instagram feed. I’m sure May will pick up too! 🙂

Oh no - sorry to hear about your ear troubles! Really hope it clears up as I’m sure you would be gutted not to be able to fly again. But there are always ways around these things - if you can’t fly there’s places you can visit by train or boat!
