So, 9.00am Boxing Day and I am sat in bed (with my kitten Dexter, of course) furiously refreshing the LUSH sale page over and over, only to be annoyingly faced with a 401, error, every. damn. time.
I think it took around an hour, and numerous tweets, before I got fed up and got dressed and booked my taxi into to town to see if I could grab any bargains in store. I wasn’t expecting miracles though, as by the time I got there it was around 11am already. Although there were not many gift boxes left, I still managed to spend £25 and picked up some right bargains.
As you can probably see, my philosophy was ‘pick up one of anything with a 50% off sticker on it…’
First of all, I got four Bath Bombs – Yog Nog, Luxury Lush Pud, Butterbear and Father Christmas.
There were quite a few bath bombs to choose from, however these were either ones I had been dying to try, or have loved previously. Yog Nog is an absolute fave of mine because it smells like Egg Nog TOFFEE.
I used the Father Christmas bath bomb that night and it was AMAZING. It smelt so sweet, kind of like candy floss. Not a very festive scent in my opinion, but then again is Snow Fairy?! Either way, I don’t care, I love it!
I wish I’d picked up more bath melts, but the one I did manage to get was Snow Angel, which I am so happy about as I love LUSH melts that have cocoa butter in them. They always leave my skin feeling amazingly smooth. Not to mention, it was covered in gold glitter, so I didn’t really have to think twice about this one going in my basket.
Another Yog Nog purhcase, the Yog Nog soap. This is one of my favourite Christmas products and now every time I walk into my bathroom I can smell it. It’s like heaven, seriously. I picked up the biggest chunk left, of course, so I am hoping this at least gets me through until the Valentine’s Day launches are out.
I also picked up some Tooth Fairy strawberry tooth dust because why the hell not? It looked and smelt interesting and at 50% it was definitely an impulse purchase. Do I regret it? Of course not!
Finally, I got the Snow Fairy’s Castle gift set, for like £7 or something. This included some Snow Fairy Shower Gel (of course), a Magic Wand, the So White Bath Bomb and some Fairy Dust dusting powder. I am so pleased that this gift set was left when I got there, as it’s definitely the one I wanted in that price range, so happy!
