A Paris Wardrobe Wishlist

February 12, 2017

paris wardrobe wishlist

If I haven’t already mentioned it enough in three weeks I AM GOING TO PARIS.

I haven’t been on holiday for a whole three years (uni, graduating and moving around a lot kind of got in the way), so this year I am going to be making the most of being young and travel travel travel. I’ve already got two trips booked in the next few months, starting with a short break in Paris with my boyfriend.

I’ve pretty much planned out everywhere I want to go so now I am onto thinking about what I want to wear while I am there. Is that normal? Do other people plan their holiday outfits in advance too, even for a short break?

I’m planning on getting some outfit photos done while I am there because I can’t imagine anywhere prettier for backgrounds and it’s been SO LONG since I last did one, so I thought I’d put together a little wish list of the kinds of outfits I’d like to take with me.

As I am going to be doing a lot of walking I thought I’d pick a few comfortable things, including a brand new pair of Converse as the closest thing I have right now are my Primark-nonverse and they’re just not the same. Paired with some ripped jeans and this gorgeous Serge shirt from House of Fraser.

I’ve got a couple of tulle skirts now but I don’t think I’ll be taking any of them to Paris with me as they’ll take up so much space. This dainty pastel tulle skirt from Boohoo is a perfect alternative as it’s light and just screams Parisian fashion, doesn’t it? I’m really bad at styling this types of skirts but I think it would go lovely with a bell sleeve black bardot, some dolly shoes and a pastel pink beret to match. When in France…

We are planning to eat out a few times whilst in Paris and I am hoping that one of the nights we get to splurge on somewhere a little fancier. With that in mind I am on the look out for a stunning dress, preferably something red so I can pretend I am Blair Waldorf at Gare Du Nord. Actually, this Chi Chi London dress is EXACTLY what I have in mind with some stunning sparkly black heels.

I’m SO excited for my trip, can you tell?

Ah I hope you have an amazing time in Paris! It’s so exciting that you already have a few trips lined up, you have lots of time to make up for :). The clothes you’ve picked are absolutely gorgeous. I seriously wish I had a tulle skirt in my life, the dusky pink one you’ve picked out is perfect. I’d probably pair them with a slogan tee to dress down in day or a cami or pretty crop top for evenings. Have a fab trip!

I LOVE that top! I also adore Paris. I find way to much time looking at flights to travel to different places, but my heart just always wants to go back to Paris! x

I’m definitely someone who plans their outfits (and makeup) way in advance of a holiday. For me, it’s all part of the excitement of going away and I want to make it last as long as possible. I love everything on your wish list! The Chi Chi dress caught my eye first. My Mother-in-Law has just bought me a black dress in a similar style for our trip to the Lake District. I’m really excited to wear it. I hope you have a fantastic time in Paris, I can’t wait to see your photos! Xx
