Date Ideas For Adventurous Couples
The world is starting to open up again and with that, my partner and I have been looking at some new and adventurous date ideas that we can do in our local area. Gone are the days of a movie and takeaway at home as now that restrictions are lifting, all we can think about is doing all of the things we used to say we’d done one day. From axe throwing to canoeing, you can bet it’s going on our date night bucket list.
To help inspire other adventurous couples, I’ve put together a couple of ideas that you can with your date. Whether you’ve been dating for years or you recently met on a Yorkshire Dating Site, an adventurous date is certainly one you’ll remember for years to come.
Go For A Hike
While this isn’t quite suitable for those dating while living in a city, if trying your hand at a little bit of Shropshire, Herefordshire or Yorkshire dating, there are lots of AMAZING places that you can go for a hike.
Whether that means you go for a day-long hike or you spend a few hours hiking to the top of a local summit, this adventurous date is perfect for those that love to get stuck into something a little bit active. You’ll have plenty of time to chat as you’re walking and once you reach the top, you can sit and admire the few. Bonus points if you go for sunset!
Try Your Hand At Water Sports
If you’re looking for a local adventure, water sports are definitely a great date activity as no matter where you live, there should be a number of different options near you. From canoeing and kayaking to SUP and surfing, it may be worth doing a little bit of research to find out which one is best suited to you and your date.
For me, I always have to do a little bit of research to find out whether or not they’re plus size friendly!
Give Axe Throwing Or Archery A Go
Two things I have always wanted to do and have been putting off for YEARS are axe throwing and archery. Mainly because I have the upper body strength of a fish but partly because I always thought the opportunity to go would always be there. After a year in lockdown, I’m very much taking the ‘now or never’ approach and have been searching for local options for me and my partner.
Both sound like a super fun way to bond with a date and honestly, I can only imagine the memories you’ll walk away with, even if you absolutely suck at it.
I am so happy that while we’re not travelling there are lots of ways for us to satisfy our adventurous sides while on dates and honestly, I’m lucky all of the spare time I have is giving me a chance to tick some things off my bucket list. What adventurous date will you be doing first?
