My addiction for eye shadow palettes is getting more and more severe, but lately, I have a new favourite go-to palette for my everyday look – the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1. I have wanted a Lorac Pro palette for a long time and when I heard that this was an affordable dupe I knew I had to get my hands on one. Luckily enough Superdrug was holding a 3 for 2 event so I treated myself to one along with a couple of other Makeup Revolution must haves. I haven’t looked back since.
The palette itself has 16 eyeshadows which are a range of matte and shimmer. I definitely prefer the shimmer shadows but I have been using the matte ones a base, which seems to work really well. The palette also includes one of Makeup Revolutions 1989 Double-ended Eye Shadow brushes instead of one of the standard applicators. I don’t usually like change, but this one is definitely welcome.
The shadows are definitely some of the best budget shadows I have used and they are extremely pigmented and super easy to blend. The matte shades are a little less pigmented than the shimmers but as I use these mainly as a base it doesn’t really bother me. So far, I think my favourites are Getter, Breathe, Too Grey and Stage as they are stunning when on. I really love the rose gold and copper feel of them as these are two colours I am loving for absolutely anything at the moment, whether it’s makeup, furniture or jewellery.
I was so used to my nude palettes that I have definitely fallen head over heels with the shades in this palette and now I can’t imagine my daily makeup routine without it. I genuinely didn’t think I would be able to find a dupe that is of such good a quality. It’s definitely encouraged me to try the Iconic Pro 2 but it’s also made me a little bit excited to see what other dupes Makeup Revolution have in store for us in the future!
