LUSH BubbleGrub Bubble Bar Review

March 8, 2015
Yesterday I went shopping for some household items and somehow ended up in LUSH… Honestly, I have no idea how I got there at all I promise! Anyway, I had a mooch at all of the new Easter products and fell in love with one in particular… The BubbleGrub Bubble Bar.

Everybody knows I am a huge fan of the Unicorn Horn Valentine’s release, so I had high expectations for the BubbleGrub bubble bar. I couldn’t wait to get home and try it and wasted no time at all running myself a bath!
First of all, the BubbleGrub is possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen. Don’t get me wrong, bugs aren’t usually cute… But I can’t get over how adorable this thing is. It’s bright orange and green with the cutest little face ever… I mean look at those antennas and his tiny mouth!  To top it off, it’s absolutely covered in glitter and sparkles.
In terms of the smell, I honestly have no idea exactly what it smells of but it is bloody gorgeous. I think I can definitely smell hints of vanilla and cocoa butter. The smell was so much stronger when I had run the bubble bar under running water too, so much so my Boyfriend could smell it from our bedroom. I genuinely didn’t want to get out of the bath it smelt that nice.

With all LUSH Bubble Bars you need to run them under hot water, which is super easy to do providing your water isn’t too hot (I may or may not have accidentally burnt myself). I ended up splitting it in half and doing the green half first, then the Orange. This meant that my bath was predominantly orange, but it was an absolutely stunning colour with plenty of glitter and sparkle. There were plenty of bubbles too, Exactly what I needed after a long weekend of moving into my new flat!
It was one of the most relaxing baths I have had in a long time, I kinda wish I had but more than one BubbleGrub. The bubble bar made my skin feel amazing both in the bath and after I had got out. It was so silky smooth!

I really think Unicorn Horn is going to have to move over as I have a new favourite. It was a close call, but I can’t get over how much I loved this product. The look, smell and feel of the BubbleGrub is everything you could ask for in a bath time product, so I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I just wish that it would be available longer than just over the Easter period. Looks like I’ll be stocking up on this one too!
What do you think of the BubbleGrub? Have you tried any of the LUSH Easter releases yet? Are there any others that I need to try?
