With the summer holidays fully underway, it’s time to start making some proper summer plans and while mine would usually be filled with travel across the world, I’m having to get a little creative given the currently *gestures at everything* situation.
With lots of time to explore the UK, me and my partner have been thinking about how we can make the most of the warm weather we’re having. As we love to go on at least two to three dates a month, we thought it would be a good idea to plan some ‘summer dates’ that we’ve never done before.
Perfect for those that have been together years or for those who may have just met on an Isle of Man dating site, these summer date ideas are enough to take you right up until the launch of Pumpkin Spice Lattes.
5 Summer Date Ideas With Added Adventure
Go To The Beach For A Day
I LOVE going to the beach and honestly, I feel like it’s the perfect date. You can start your day walking along the beach before heading to the pier for some arcade games. You can grab some DELICIOUS fish and chips for lunch followed by hot sugared doughnuts (of course). After a couple more hours exploring the promenade or lying on the beach, you’ll have time to catch the sunset before you head back home again. What more could you want?
Of course, if you’re dating someone you met on an Isle of man dating site, there are LOTS of incredible beaches you can visit.
Go For A Hike (Followed By A Sunset Picnic)
Another one of my favourite things to do during summer is to go for a hike, especially if it means I get to sit and watch the sunset when I’m done. The last time we did this we packed ourselves a picnic and we sat (admittedly with lots of other loved-up couples) watching the sunset over Shropshire. It was surprisingly romantic and I would 100% recommend it as a date.
Try A New Watersport
I’ve been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone on dates and so every now and again, we’ll try a new watersport. Although I totally failed when it came to canoeing in Shrewsbury last month, I’m looking forward to giving wild swimming a go on our next date.
Spend The Afternoon Walking Around Museums
If you’re looking for something a little more chilled, a relaxing afternoon walking around museums is the PERFECT date.
Camp Under The Stars With S’mores
Finally, what would a summer date list be without camping, right? I LOVE to go camping and honestly feel like there’s nothing better than sitting under the stars with toasted marshmallows and s’mores. Whether you’re wild camping or visiting a campsite, it’s always an incredibly magic experience.
If you’ve never been camping before and you’re worried about whether or not you’ll like it, you may want to try glamping first. I recently stayed at some INCREDIBLE glamping pods in Shropshire and the hot tub made it the perfect setting for a romantic date.
What dates do you love to go during summertime? I’d love some new ideas!
