Although it’s been quite sometime before I last went on a date with someone new, me and my boyfriend love to plan as many dates as we can each month. We believe that just because we’ve been together for eight years, it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t get to enjoy those ‘date night’ experiences that you get to go on when you’re single.
From heading to the cinema to see a new movie to hiring canoes and watching the scenery roll by as we paddle, ‘dating each other’ is definitely something you should continue to do as your relationship progresses.
For me, I love when dates incorporate my love for travel and adventure, especially now that we’re not allowed to go as far as we have in the past. With restrictions still in place for travel, it’s really made a difference being able to find that little bit of adventure while on a date.
So whether you’re going on a date with your partner of eight years or you’re doing a little bit of local dating on a Bedfordshire Dating Site, here’s some date ideas that a perfect for travel lovers just like me!
Go On An Adventure With A ‘Random Turn’ Walk
If you don’t know what this is, it basically means that you use a random generator that chooses when you turn left or right. Whether that means using an app or flipping a coin, you never know where you’re actually going to end up and what you’ll discover. Start at your house and spend a couple of hours getting lost and discovering things that are right on your doorstep.
Go To A Restaurant That Reminds You Of A Place You’ve Travelled
If you’re anything like me then the food you eat will often remind you of places that you’ve travelled to, from tapas in Spain or tacos from Mexico, reliving your travel memories and sharing stories is a great conversation starter.
Try Something New
One of the things I love most about travel is that it’s something different. Something I haven’t done before.
While it’s taken me a long time to realise this, the last year has certainly taught me that I can still recreate that feeling at home. From trying a new restaurant to visiting a nearby town that I’ve never been to before, I don’t have to go far to experience the joy of trying something new. In fact, I don’t even need to leave the house if I really don’t want to.
If you are trying something new and you want that added bit of adventure, why not try a sport you haven’t tried before? For example, if you’re dating someone from a Bedfordshire Dating Site you may want to find a watersports place nearby that offers standup paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking. It’s a great ice-breaker activity for a first date or if you’ve been together a while, it’s the perfect way to spend the day having a laugh!
