The last few years after University were pretty much spent paying off all my debts, moving house countless amounts of times and living off a crappy wage. Now that I am starting to see the light at the end of the no-money-tunnel, I can FINALLY start to think about where I want to travel.
This means that I have pretty much gone into 2017 with the mindset of going to as many places as possible, so within the space of a week I’d already booked two trips – Paris and Wroclaw. As I have got so many travel plans for the year, I thought I would share with you where I have planned to visit and hopefully I so actually get the chance to do all of them.
My 2017 Travel Plans
Paris, France ??
Instead of buying each other a Christmas present me and my boyfriend decided we would book a trip somewhere in Europe instead and as we both wanted to go to Paris, it seemed the obvious choice. I actually leave in three days so as I write this I should probably be packing or doing something productive at least…
Wroclaw, Poland ??
Poland has always been on my list of places to visit, but I had no idea I’d be going so soon! Me and Ashton had wanted to book a trip together for a while, so when a cheap deal came up for Wroclaw we really couldn’t say no, could we? We go in about a months time so by the time I get back from Paris I’ll be counting down the days!
The rest of this list are places I am hoping I get to visit before the year is up….
Copenhagen, Denmark ??
With Denmark officially being the happiest country in the world I kind of want to go and see if I can figure out why. I have so many friends that have been to Copenhagen and said it was one of their favourite trips, making it shoot pretty much to the top of my 2017 bucket list.
Dublin, Ireland ??
As we are so close to Ireland, Dublin is something that I think we’d be stupid not to visit. It’s a pretty cheap trip so me and my boyfriend are hoping to squeeze it in around our anniversary in May/June-ish time.
Barcelona, Spain ??
I had a holiday to Barcelona booked for last year but ended up having to cancel it, so I am really hoping we can squeeze in a trip this year. With so many cheap deals on Wowcher and Groupon I think it would be quite a cheap trip, but when we get there I know it is going to be SO EXPENSIVE.
Andorra ??
When making a list of all the places we want to visit my boyfriend mentioned he wants to go on a skiing trip?! What?! I can’t balance on my right leg at all, so I think my boyfriend will be skiing while I sit in the lodge with a book and some hot chocolate.
Staying Safe on Holiday
With so many 2017 travel plans in place, one thing I constantly worry about is staying safe. There are so many possible holiday hazards that I worry about and after having so many disastrous experiences already it’s great to know where you can go if you ever need to make a claim, for example, jefferies-solicitors.com, who deal with holiday sickness and accidents.
One of my first ever holidays (without my parents) I ended up getting a really bad toothache and mouth infection the day before, but still went ahead anyway. It was so bad that as soon as we got there and got off the train, the first thing we had to do was go to the emergency dentist. I think that was the start of A LOT of bad luck on holidays as I have had SO MANY accidents while away. *Touch wood* it won’t happen in Paris.
Here are just a few of the accidents I have had whilst on holiday:
- I broke my toes while getting out of a van in California
- I perforated my eardrum on a flight to Venice
- I broke my fingers playing mini golf in Newquay
What are you travel plans for this year? ✈️️
