#Revolutionbirthday Goody Bag

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the Makeup Revolution (TAM Beauty) 2nd Birthday party in London. I wrote a whole post about my few days in London and a couple of you mentioned that you would like to see what we were given in our goody bags at the end of the night, so I thought I'd share with you the Makeup Revolution and Freedom Makeup goodies. There were a couple of bits from Superdrug included, but nothing worth shouting about in my opinion..

The first thing that caught my eye was one of the Makeup Revolution Bold Metals brushes. I have been thinking about buying the whole range so I am looking forward to seeing how this Ultra Contour Foundation brush plays out, and see whether or not it convinces me to splurge on the full set. Although, I wouldn't really call £35 a splurge... The one thing I absolutely love about this brush is the rose gold colour, it's stunning and reminds me of a certain high end brand that has released a metals range recently.

The next thing in the bag was one of the new lipsticks from the Rose Gold collection. I was hoping I'd get the shade Chauffer (it's so beautiful) however I got Red Carpet. I don't wear red lipsticks often, but as this isn't a very deep red I am feeling a little brave so will definitely be trying this out. Plus, it makes it one less lipstick to buy when it comes to buying the rest of the range on payday! Silver linings?

The final Makeup Revolution item in the goody bag was the Pro Hygiene Antibacterial Brush Cleaner. I have to be honest with you, I've never actually used a brush cleaning solutions before, so I am really excited to give the a go! I don't clean my brushes as often as I should and would much rather go and buy new ones than clean them - I'm such a bad blogger! Hopefully having a cleaning solution will help save me some money, especially as I have heard such great reviews about this particular one.

I was really happy to see some Freedom Makeup goodies in the goody bag too! First of all there was the Pro Studio Strobe Cream. I have seen lots of reviews and photos of this over the last few weeks and had made a mental note to put the Makeup Rev version in my basket next time I was shopping as I think it sounds like an amazing MAC Strobe Cream dupe! I struggle so much with powder highlighters, especially as the areas I am supposed to be targeting with highlighter for my are the most dry parts of my fave. A cream base seems like a much better option than powder, so I can't wait to give it a try. Look out for a review on this soon!

Finally, my favourite thing in the goody bag was the Freedom Makeup Pro Artist Pad in Black Arts. This is a beautiful 48 shade eye shadow palette featuring some beautiful nude, gold and smokey shades. I've got a thing for shimmer shadows at the moment and I'd say more than half of the ones in this palette are, so I am really excited to try out some looks with it. If it's anything like the Makeup Revolution palettes it will be super pigmented and have amazing wear too!

What do you think of the goody bag, pretty amazing right? I really can't wait to see Makeup Revolution grow and grow, as they're honestly my favourite beauty brand and have been since I started my little blogging journey.

Lots of love,

  1. Everything looks fab! I love the look of the new brushes and have been thinking about 'investing' too. Although like you said, it's not really an investment as they're such a good price anyway. That palette looks a dream!

  4. Lovely gifts - it looked like such a good night too!
I'd be interested to see how you get on with the brushes too. I've considered buying them, even though more brushes is the last thing I need but still, they look good!
