Fentimans New Launch: Sparkling Lime and Jasmine Review

A couple of weeks ago Fentimans kindly sent me their new flavour, ahead of it's release in stores. As a huge fan of all of the Fentimans drinks I was really excited to receive my Sparkling Lime and Jasmine* samples.

If you've never heard of Fentimans before they are a drinks company that make natural botanical brewed drinks, and have been for over 100 years. Each drink is brewed for seven days using a time-honoured botanical brewing process, making them superior and delicious!

I first discovered Fentimans when I was working in a local cupcakery in Ironbridge, where everything had a vintage feel to it. We sold their Curiosity Cola, Rose Lemonade, Victorian Lemonade and Dandelion and Burdock and as I had a good discount on drinks I would normally have at least one per shift. My absolute favourite has to be Curiosity Cola, it tastes like REAL COLA BOTTLES.

First of all, lets talk about the glass bottle. Fentimans drinks all come in the same, classic Victorian style bottle and I absolutely love it, I remember collecting them when I first started drinking them as I thought they were so pretty. The labels are beautifully designed and the Sparkling Lime and Jasmine is an appropriate lime green colour.

When it came to tasting it me and my boyfriend had a bottle each, however unfortunately it wasn't to my taste. I like the initial flavour, but after a few seconds it left a tart taste in my mouth that wasn't pleasant at all. My boyfriend however, absolutely loved it and said there was something about it that made it really refreshing. He had absolutely no problem finishing the rest of them off over a course of a few days, as he really did enjoy it.

I was quite sad when I tasted it and didn't like it, however it doesn't take away my love for their other drinks. You can't like everything and this just wasn't something I could see myself drinking again.

Have you tried the new Fentimans Sparkling Lime and Jasmine flavour? What did you think?

Lots of love,
